4 Useful Apps I can’t live without…

I absolutely love being productive, honestly, there is no other rush like accomplishing what you set to do that day; that moment you cross out the last thing on your list and you are YAASS. Ah! Truly, no feeling quite like it.

Thus, I strongly rely on 5 very important apps to keep my mind sharp. Since I have been both blessed and cursed with having a very active mind (essentially very strong ADHD tendencies) I cannot survive without them.

  1. OneTab.

It’s Free. But it’s a chrome/firefox extension, so no phone option!

Is your mind full of open tabs and you don't know where the music is coming from? Does your computer get slow very quickly? Do you love bookmarking sites?

Friends have mocked my incredible gift of amassing an indefinite number of tabs and working on my computer while these are still running.

Not anymore though, with OneTab, I simply just need to click on the OneTab icon to convert all of my tabs into a list allowing me to save up on my computer’s memory. What’s amazing too, is that if I wish to restore these tabs, I can do so either individually or all at once. This gives me the opportunity to be able to constantly refocus if I do end up going down the rabbit hole which is the internet (and thus resulting in a neverending amount of tabs).

2. TickTick

Free/Premium version.

Have you downloaded thousands of to-do apps and none of them worked for you? Is writing lists your addiction? Are you trying to build a new habit?

Like all good things in life, the paid version is so much much better. But regardless of which option you choose TickTick is the most versatile and clean to-do & task management app I’ve ever had the privilege of using.

I’m not kidding, it’s a dream. It’s not just that it creates checklists (which you can categorize and organize in numerous files) but it can set reminders per each item. It also has a calendar feature, it syncs to all your devices, and you can use tags. It's even fricking shareable. I'm finally getting into shape because I have set a recurring task each day and what can I say I love clicking complete.

There are some other features I have not mentioned, so my only suggestion is to go and explore and see for yourself if this is as magical to you as it is to me.

3. F.lux

Free for all.

Do you suffer from insomnia? Are you hoping to avoid taking a long fricking time falling asleep? Did you buy glasses to remove blue light?

Then boy are you going to be happy to find out that f.lux can help.

Essentially f.lux makes the color of your computer’s display adapt to the time of day, warm at night and like sunlight during the day.

This means no blue light by the end of the day.

4. 1Password

Try for free, but must pay for continuous usage.

Do you constantly forget your passwords? Are you terrified of being hacked? Have you been?

Then, just like me, you need 1Password, as it remembers them all for you. It also can hold other features, like credit cards or identification information. Just make sure you always remember your master password and you are set for ultimate efficiency.

Do you understand how amazingly wonderful it is that I no longer have to search in my junk email the link that will reset my password? Go and remove your frustrations from your life and try this thing.

Bonus: Otter.ai

Enjoy! It is free!

Do you find that you express yourself better verbally? Do you struggle taking notes? Do you have future podcasts aspirations?

Otter turns voice conversations into text transcription that can be shared with one click.

You can use it to take notes at your meetings and interviews. Personally, I love using it as a way to quickly draft my ideas down.
